How does multiplayer Pacman work?
The maze chase has always been a one-player game with an audience. Multiplayer keeps the solo board and adds the only thing missing: someone to beat.
Setting up a race
On the multiplayer page, pick a game - Classic, Turbo, Mini or Ghost Rush - and create a room. Share the room link or its 6-letter code; your opponent opens it in any browser, no account needed. When both players hit Ready, the server hands you the identical seeded run at the same instant.
The race
You each play your own board while a live progress bar tracks your opponent's pellets. First to clear the maze wins; if a player runs out of lives or gives up, the other takes it. Rematches are one click and deal a fresh identical seed - best of five is the house tradition.
Why same-seed racing is fair
Both boards are generated from one seed: same maze, same ghost decisions, same fruit timing. No one gets an easier run, so the outcome is pure skill and speed - the same fairness that powers the daily challenge.

What is the Daily Challenge?
The daily challenge is a single seeded run that every player in the world gets on a given day - same maze, same ghost behavior seed. Clear it and your score is ranked against everyone who beat the same challenge. Miss a day and it's gone, which is what makes streaks worth protecting.
Is Pacman.free really free?
Completely. Every game mode, the daily challenge, the leaderboards and online multiplayer are free to play in your browser, with no download and no signup. An optional free account only adds cross-device stats and a permanent name on the leaderboard.
Is Pacman luck or skill?
Almost entirely skill. The maze layout is fixed, ghost targeting follows deterministic rules, and the only meaningful randomness is in frightened ghosts' fleeing turns. That's why perfect scores, speedruns and repeatable strategies exist - better play reliably produces better results.
