Do I need an account to play?

Play first, decide later - the account is a convenience, not a gate.

Quick answer: No. Every maze, the daily challenge and multiplayer work as a guest, with your stats saved in your own browser. A free account (one click with Google) adds cross-device sync, a permanent leaderboard name, and streaks that survive switching devices.

What guests get

Everything: all eight modes, the daily, the boards (with a display name of your choosing), and multiplayer races. Your stats, bests and streaks are stored in your browser's local storage automatically.

What an account adds

Sign in once with Google and your records sync: the win rate you build on a laptop shows on your phone, your leaderboard name is permanently yours, and daily streaks survive clearing your browser. Records only ever merge upward - the site takes the best of local and synced stats.

What we don't do

No password to invent (Google sign-in), no spam, no selling data - the details live in our privacy policy. Accounts exist to make your stats portable, and that's the whole story.

Is Pacman.free really free?

Completely. Every game mode, the daily challenge, the leaderboards and online multiplayer are free to play in your browser, with no download and no signup. An optional free account only adds cross-device stats and a permanent name on the leaderboard.

Does Pacman.free work on mobile?

Yes. Every maze is built for touch: swipe anywhere on the board to steer, or use the on-screen directional pad. It runs in your mobile browser with no app to download, and you can add it to your home screen to play like an app.

What is the Daily Challenge?

The daily challenge is a single seeded run that every player in the world gets on a given day - same maze, same ghost behavior seed. Clear it and your score is ranked against everyone who beat the same challenge. Miss a day and it's gone, which is what makes streaks worth protecting.
